I'm thinking fo getting a meet togther in 2010 or 2011 for Northern California. It's a big deal to get organizied, but It would be a lot of fun. If I can get some home issues resloved, it's next on my list. If anyone else is close to Crescent City, CA let me know if you could help out.

Look at Jamie Daughtery Motorsports website. He has some rear shock options that I'm looking at doing. Jamie seems to really know his stuff. If you drop him a message on his site, he'll get back to you. He is also a member of this group.

Thanks Larry. I tried swapping the bar clamps. It made a big difference but I'm going to have to extend my cables and lines to do it. I'll just wait until I can get the convertibar set. Thanks for the idea! Jamie, I guess it's just hell getting old (elbows). I love the sport handling when I'm headin...

I have a difficult time riding over 120 miles on my 1985 VF1000R. My elbows start to hurt. Is there anybody out there who has brought the bars up and/or back a little from the stock positioning? In the gallery, I noticed Robert's maroon bike had some type of riser for the bars. There is a company ca...

I beleive in keeping my R as stock as possible, yet... When I got her she had this "custom" paint job that was yellow/pink/blue. when i tore her down, I put my money into getting the bike mechanically sound and running great. That was the easy part. So I did the faring body work myself and had the t...

I'd be interested, although after 120 miles or so my elbows are killing me.. You all are talking about a location, central yet worthy of nice bike riding. I'll offer Crescent City, CA up. It's beautiful here, the coastal riding up and down the coast is to die for. It's small here, but I have this to...

Hey John. I have a '85 California VF1000r (20000 miles). When I broke my bike down to refurbish, I took those two canisters off. I routed the input hose inmto the output hose and continued to run the output to the top breather nipple from the tank. Its just a vapor treatment system for the pariond C...

I have a 1985 VF100R that came with Yosh pipes. When I broke the bike down to overhaul it (except for engine and trans) I found the pipe loosely mounted. I went down and had two inserts made (1 1/2 stretched) now it fits nice and snug. I would like to know mor about how I can use this system for bet...
