Anyone fitted one of these to their "R" yet? I know the direct replacement part number but was wondering if anyone had fitted a higher capacity one to take advantage of the space available? If so which one and how have you found it's performance?

Hello John, mine is a similar story to yours, admired these when they first came out etc etc. Mine had only 69 miles on the clock when I bought her from Middlesborough! Yours looks in as good condition as mine so well done. Just for reference purposes may I ask what price you eventually paid? It's n...

Hi Retro, yes there are two options for mods. I shall try to dig around and find some detail on them. If I recall correctly they were put together by Dave Dodge? Jamie will surely be along soon to advise if I fail. I am reluctant to modify mine as I was hoping that modern oil technology might be abl...

Fantastic - just the kind of gen i needed. Only problem is I ran a fuel pump metering test and it was punching out more than spec. So I think in my case the filter must be fine. Have the seafoam now so will give it a whirl. Not sure how I should use it though as I really need it to attack the air je...

Hi Thoratron and welcome.

Jamie would be the best guy to advise you but FWIW I believe the F carbs will fit but will need re-jetting in order to function properly on the R engine. Good luck anyhow. Ian

Hi Richard. Have you actually found coolant coming from this area or just some rust staining? I've found some staining on the side of my engine close to the area of the front right spark plug and believe it to have come from some water which may have welled up after a jetwashing (sinner!). Is it pos...

Hi chaps - a brief refresher regarding my bike's history. I bought her with 70 miles on the clock after she had been sat for nearly 20 years in the former owners living room. I have had what feels like fuelling issues from day one. The bike was never laid up and the tank remained half full. My mate ...
