Hi, I have a 1986 VF1000R. I recently noticed a very light clunk on stops (forward pressure) and was worried that it might be the head/bearings, but I don't think so now. After having looked at the front end, I see that the right front rotor will actually move a little when I jiggle it. Wierd. None ...

Charlie,
I realise it's pretty late to be chiming in on this, but do you happen to have the mirrors still?
How about the windshield and that gold-painted hardware (footpegs, shifter, etc)?
