I've had luck with Meguiar's vinyl cleaner.

You can find a very close match red vinyl at JoAnn's. It the marine thickness that you want.

The idle circuit and choke circuit are important for starting your bike. I'm guessing what is be referred to is the idle mixture screw cap (installed at the factory). To completely clean the idle circuit you need to clean not only the fuel side (float bowl) but also the mixture side (idle screw). To...

Hi all, I have just found a small coolant leak which is coming from the area in between the cylinders. It is not from a hose or dripping from above but from a whole in the middle of the motor on the right side of the engine. Any thoughts on where this is coming from? Thank You. One possible explana...

Seems like a lot of money for the mileage. The picture makes it hard to tell much about the bike. The front fairing and the tank look like the '86 model. Maybe the title is a typo. But, here's one on craigslist. http://images.craigslist.org/3od3pf3l25Q45T55X6a9l33f62f5d8d471c54.jpg Here is the posti...

Jamie is correct they are still available. FYI, I've never been able to remove original bar ends without drilling the phillips head screw head off then using vise grips to remove the thread screw. This requires removing the clip ons. Honda used a green locktite that makes it impossible to remove the...

California doesn't do emissions testing or equipment checks on motorcycles. I've done several titles in CA and they're only concerned with frame and engine numbers.
Does that mean a CA resident can only own a SC161 or can they own any SC16*?

Don't throw the emission stuff away. If you ever try to sell it a California owner will need it.

There are several folks on this forum that are/have done full resto's. I for one am in the middle of one. But, mine was not in the nice condition yours looks to be in. It's funny but you never know what you have until to take it apart. Post your question here as this is a good group. Looking at the ...
