It would seem Will_B doesn't visit anymore or is not interested so I will mention it here. I have exactly what he was looking for. It is the blue version for the RG and is BRAND NEW! It is English and part no. is 32-MJ4-620 (probably the only one in existence) If anybody is interested I want 100€ fo...

Having sadly now parted with both my VF's I am left with a selection of spare parts and memorabilia, including some very hard or impossible to find items. I would prefer to sell as a job lot so will listen to offers. If I cannot sell all together I may consider splitting it a little later. I have at...

Hola Alex
I am also in Spain. Don't think there are too many VF1000R's around here. You wouldn't be from around Barcelona would you? Seem to remember one for sale there needing restoration.
Welcome to the forum, it tends to be a little quiet but keeps going.

Hi,
Yes they will come out. There is a retaining bolt at the top of each liner and they are a press fit into 2 sealing "O" rings right at the bottom. Just make up a simple puller to lift them from the bottom.
Have fun.

Hi Tim, Remove the 2 black side panels, 2 chrome screws either side at the front of the seat fairing and 2 hex bolts either side towards the rear. The hex bolts go up from underneath and are accessed through 2 holes in the rear fender section. (Just fwd of the rear indicators) I always remove the sm...

Hi Ron, Yes the little arm on the shock that the cable connects to also seizes, Simplest way to check is remove the cotter pin at the connection (could also be the cotter pin seized!) and see if the cable moves on its own. You should also be able to move the little adjusting arm with your hand if it...

Hi Mike,
Glad to hear your problem is solved, although I doubt the tap with the hammer was the cure. More likely a dirty or bad connection on the wire which you disturbed when you removed it to put it to ground. But as long as it is now working, all good!! :D

Hi,
Yes that is definitely the way to do it, works a treat.
Don't suppose you have another spare one of those cables do you? Could really do with one.
Cheers,

Hi,
Yes that number is correct for the VF1000R. David Silver Spares carry stock of genuine at £36.00 and pattern at £25.00
Good luck.

Well I suppose 27 posts in just over 12 months proves it's not dead (just on life support)!!
At least a few are posting now and again which is a little better than 14 months ago.
Weathers great so off out for a ride. Take care all and enjoy. Be safe. 8)
