I'm still going through stuff Ron. It will take me some time to figure out what goes to the bikes and what is extra. I will definitely keep you in mind when the time comes to sell/buy.

Take care. Kelly

I told myself no new projects for awhile. I don't even know why I was looking but came across an ad for 3 R's. One '86 that runs and 2 '85's, one supposedly runs. Also included was a ton of spare parts. I called the guy to make sure it wasn't a typo. Before I could fully understand what was happenin...

That is an impressive piece of work there, what's next on the never ending list of mods? :D There's always a next but I have completed a few recently. I bought a very low mile radiator since mine was very long in the tooth. The fins on the new one were perfect. I took it to a radiator shop for a fl...

In my never ending quest to fight modding boredom and to lose my 28 year old stock coils, I decided to try some modern stick coils on the old girl. I haven't seen it done on the 1st gens so I didn't have much to go on. I bought a set from a CBR along with a harness...$40. Wired in series, they ohm o...

Thats one hell of a face lift from the previous look, nice work Hopit. Getting back to my previous query, how does she ride with the work you have done on the suspension and steering? Nice work. Yea, she looks quite different now but I think it could pass for a factory scheme. She rides nice. Swapp...

The rebuild is done. The start of the build is here... http://www.vf1000r.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=269 I got the frame painted and started putting it all back together. The carbon fiber surround looks way better than the scratched up one. http://public.blu.livefilestore.com/y1pxqAPu4_xg4altExTD...

I can't speak to the ZX7 forks but the length is important. You may have to swap the stems. I did for my RC51 frontend. The newer CBR legs are too short. The RC51 is better but still needs a drop to the upper triple to get close, but the offset is wrong so you lose a ton of steering lock, not bad un...

Hey Ian. I can't say if it's a match. I haven't seen a new kR motor in 25 years. I used a VHT gloss caliper paint for most of the engine with a satin for the valve covers and the alt. cover. 500 degree engine paints that I have used in the past seem to fade rather quickly so I decided to try caliper...

I'm on so many VF forums but somehow this one slipped by me. I'm in the process of finishing up my latest project. It's a rolling chassis now. I fitted the RC36 arm and modified spindle to accept an RC30 wheel. I powder coated the wheel myself in my home made oven. I made the exhaust using mandrel b...
