This is still available from Honda, that's the best place. Pretty much any used part you'll find will be scratched or at least have the paint chipped off it.

Sure, one of the guys from the V4HondaBBS started that site. The carb kits are Billy Carr items, the same thing you can get from eBay (his seller ID is fngster). Good guy.

Hey John - Your local dealer is by far the best place to buy parts like this. If you have trouble let me know, I can pass along my discount to you.

I don't think the frame has the features to accommodate a center stand. Hopefully a swingarm stand that we discussed in our e-mails will work for you!

You say that you've checked the pilot jets, but have you thoroughly cleaned the pilot circut? There are several tiny passages in the carb body - that is where the blockages usually occur, not the jets. Pull the pilot needles and clean those passages really good. It's not a bad idea to ultrasonically...

Yep, I convert all of my VF's to gravity feed. Just run the line from the tank straight to the carbs. You can even reuse some of the existing lines. It's as simple as that!

VTR1000F or RC51 pipes will fit with just a bit of tweaking. That's about the closest thing I've found to date.

Your local Honda dealer will be the best source for these parts. They are cheap, do not bother with used parts. Good luck!

This was true..... about 20 years ago. That happened around 1990. There were quite a few leftover R's in the Chicago wharehouse that were sold sans-warranty in the crate. They went for a decent price but not pennies on the dollar or anything. My suspicion is that many of the really nice R's around t...

Sorry, the R engine won't fit directly into an F frame. You can make it work but it takes some modifications to the frame rails around the rear head.

The F carbs will work perfectly on an R engine. Good luck!
