I see that others are having issues with their beasties in the summer heat. Besides the fact that the fan is turning on, either due to a bad thermostat, or a bad fan (don't know just yet), I cooked my clutch in traffic the other day.

The current plan of record is to bleed the slave cylinder and see if that rectifies the issue. If it doesn't:

What other slave cylinder from other bikes will work/fit on the mighty VF? Does anyone have an extra they would be willing to part with for a reasonable sum?

I doubt new OEM parts are still available.

Thanks for any/all information!

Pretty much any Honda hydraulic clutch master cylinder will work. Even the newer bikes will work. I'm sure that a quick trip to eBay will turn up plenty!
