Candy Aluetian Blue
Fighting Red
gold pinstripes.

The paint can be purchased from Color Rite.

Found this:

Taffeta White #HA 00978
Electron Blue #HA 00980
Fighting Red #08P50-R134-PN

from VF1000R fan site. Thats thrown the cat amongst the pigeons now eh? States its for a 1985 version.......

and later - this:

The Interceptor was available in Blue/White/Red (Candy Aleutian Blue with Shasta White), Black/Red/White (Candy Alamona Red with Pearl Shell White) or Black/Silver/White. The "Honda" and "Interceptor" striping across the tank and side panels were red or blue.

From the colorrite.com site.

>> Motorcycle :: 1986 :: Street :: Honda :: VF1000R
Click on a part number below to select a product to see available options.
IMPORTANT NOTE: To ensure proper color matching, some of the colors require a base color. If your color does, it will be listed under "ColorRite Base".Code Paint Name Comment Color Chip ColorRite Top ColorRite Base
R134 Fighting Red 2163 1090
NH138 Shasta White 2045
PB127 Candy Aleution Blue 2075 1000

Ok Larry, which scheme of the two is for the Rothmans then?
Both the "original" and the Rothmans has red, white and blue coulors?

Hmm...... I have another question about paint. Does anyone have a clue what the code is for the engine paint as I need to touch mine up??? Alternatively, anyone know a suitable touch up that matches well?
