anyone know about Honda making a limted edition Blue VF1000R in 1985? this guy has one for sale claiming it's a limited edition:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/honda-vf ... 3a53afa9a4

a guy at a local bike night told me he remembers Honda did this as an experiment as sales were low on the regular model. he said there was also a greenish one.

i've purused the internet high and wide to come up with nothing...

anyone?

Hehe! Yep - I'd think I'd rather slice off my own testicles and eat them than be seen on a design so f@cked up as that. Needs an instant repaint! Did Honda REALLY think THAT was an improvement over previous schemes????? Thay really lost it didn't they?

That guy has been trying to sell that bike for a while now. Apparently he's not gotten the clue that only the RWB was ever made by Honda. Limited indeed - only one like it!

And what about the black one I found Jamie? Are you referring to just in the states or worldwide?

Worldwide there were only ever two color schemes made - the RWB that we are all familiar with and the Rothman's replica in Europe. Anything else is a crash-damage repaint!
