What special tools to buy???

Hi chaps. Been doing a little surfing today on vf1000r problems and among other bits of info found a site recommending that a special tool be used for setting the valve clearances. Also mentions a handy extra long 10mm wrench for the job too. Can anyone give me a sensible list of honda tools in order to do all my own maintenance. Special tools aren't that easy to come by in my region of spain and so I'd rather have a basis of tools in house to cover most eventualities.

For example - isn't there one spark plug particularly awkward to access without a particular length socket extension or is that only on the Vf1000f's?

All help and advice appreciated as always!

Don't use the special Honda tool to set the valves, two feeler gauges are all that you need. About the only special tools that I use are:

- Honda socket for the clutch hub
- Honda socket for the steering stem nut
- 90° screwdriver for carb sync adjustment

Everything else is typical hand tools.
